UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani to Abu Dhabi on Monday evening, where the two leaders held discussions focused on promoting peace, stability, and cooperation in the region.
President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed highlighted the UAE’s continued commitment to supporting dialogue and fostering stability across the Middle East. He expressed the importance of collaborative efforts to address regional developments constructively and responsibly.
President Nechirvan Barzani emphasized the Kurdistan Region’s dedication to maintaining peaceful relations and contributing to regional security. He noted that the Kurdistan Region values its friendship with the UAE and appreciates its role in supporting peace and development.
Both leaders exchanged views on recent developments in the region, as well as shared concerns regarding ongoing tensions. They underlined the importance of calm and wise diplomacy in resolving challenges and expressed their mutual hope for peaceful solutions that benefit all peoples of the region.
They also discussed on the situation in Syria and other topics of shared interest, reaffirming their joint desire to see increased cooperation and a more stable future for the Middle East.
