Regional security remained a central theme during a recent phone conversation between President Sheikh Mohamed of the UAE and Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Their dialogue highlighted the shared interest in building stronger bilateral ties while promoting peace and stability across key regions.

During the call, both leaders focused on strengthening cooperation in political and economic fields. Moreover, they emphasized the importance of boosting collaboration in investment and sustainability. This multi-sector approach aims to support long-term development and mutual prosperity.

President Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to working closely with Nigeria. He stressed that effective partnerships contribute significantly to regional security. In response, President Tinubu welcomed greater strategic cooperation with the UAE.

Importantly, the two leaders discussed regional developments in Africa and the Middle East. They expressed concern over ongoing instability in neighboring areas. As a result, they underscored the urgency of unified efforts to address threats and support conflict resolution.

Furthermore, both sides agreed that sustainable growth depends on peace. Without regional security, economic and social progress would remain difficult. Therefore, they pledged to align their countries’ strategies for maintaining stability.

Additionally, they explored future opportunities in clean energy and green investments. President Tinubu shared Nigeria’s growing interest in renewable energy projects. In turn, President Sheikh Mohamed outlined the UAE’s support for global sustainability efforts.

The leaders also discussed expanding trade relations. They recognized the potential for increased exports and joint ventures. Consequently, they proposed forming working groups to identify priority sectors for economic collaboration.

Tuesday’s call, as reported by the UAE state news agency WAM, marked a new chapter in UAE-Nigeria diplomacy. It reflected mutual trust and a shared vision for future growth.

In conclusion, their conversation reinforced the importance of ongoing dialogue. It also confirmed a joint commitment to enhancing regional security, economic resilience, and global cooperation.
