The UAE Floating Hospital, stationed in the Egyptian city of Al Arish, has received its third group of Indonesian medical personnel. This group comprises 25 doctors and nurses from various specialties. This initiative is part of the ongoing joint humanitarian effort under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.” It reflects the deepening bilateral cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Indonesia.
The arrival of the Indonesian team aims to strengthen the hospital’s operational capacity. It also enhances its ability to manage critical and complex medical cases. Their integration with the Emirati medical staff reinforces the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare in accordance with international standards.
Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Director of the UAE Floating Hospital, highlighted the significance of this collaboration. He stated that the presence of the Indonesian team underscores the strong historical ties between the UAE and Indonesia. It also shows their shared commitment to humanitarian relief, particularly in support of Palestinian civilians affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
Inaugurated on February 23, 2024, the UAE Floating Hospital stands as one of the region’s key humanitarian initiatives. It was established to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to the wounded from the Gaza Strip. The hospital continues to serve as a vital medical hub for those in urgent need.
