Trump Expands Luxury Footprint as Diriyah Project Signals New Investment Era

Saudi Arabia continues to attract global brands as the Saudi luxury real estate push gains new momentum. This week, Trump International announced a major hospitality and lifestyle project in Diriyah. The development reflects growing foreign confidence in the kingdom’s premium tourism and property sectors.

The new project will rise in Wadi Safar, near Riyadh. It will cover nearly 2.6 million square meters. Moreover, the site sits inside Diriyah’s historic development zone. Therefore, the project blends heritage with modern luxury ambitions.

The development includes a Trump International Hotel. In addition, it features an 18-hole championship golf course. A private clubhouse will serve members only. Furthermore, the plan includes branded luxury mansions inside a gated residential district.

Dar Global leads the project in partnership with Dar Al Arkan. Together, they aim to deliver a high-end destination. As a result, the project strengthens Diriyah’s position as a global luxury hub. Construction should finish by 2029.

Meanwhile, Wadi Safar continues to attract elite hotel brands. For example, several international resorts already plan nearby openings. Consequently, competition within the area continues to intensify. However, demand for premium experiences remains strong.

The Trump-branded development forms part of a broader investment strategy. Previously, the organization committed billions to projects across Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the Diriyah launch builds on earlier expansion efforts.

Beyond Riyadh, Trump Plaza Jeddah moves forward as another flagship project. The mixed-use development will rise along King Abdulaziz Road. It will combine residences, offices, retail, and dining spaces. As a result, the project targets both residents and global investors.

The Jeddah site will include a private wellness club. In addition, it will offer pools, spas, and fitness facilities. Dining venues will anchor the social experience. Consequently, the project aims to attract long-term urban living.

Executives describe the developments as integrated lifestyle ecosystems. Rather than single-use sites, they promote live-work-connect environments. Therefore, the projects align with changing urban preferences.

So far, three Trump-branded properties now exist in Saudi Arabia. The first launched in Jeddah during 2024. Since then, investment activity has accelerated. This growth highlights the expanding Saudi luxury real estate push.

Across the wider Gulf, similar projects continue to emerge. Developments in Oman and Dubai already move forward. Meanwhile, plans for Doha remain under consideration. As a result, regional competition for luxury tourism continues to rise.

Saudi Arabia, however, offers scale and long-term vision. Diriyah plays a central role in that strategy. The area combines culture, tourism, and high-end living. Therefore, global developers view it as a priority destination.

Ultimately, the Diriyah project reflects confidence in Saudi Arabia’s transformation agenda. It also underscores the kingdom’s appeal to international luxury brands. With demand rising, the Saudi luxury real estate push shows no signs of slowing.
