Sulzer has entered into a 10-year strategic partnership with Manweir, a leading engineering services provider and the oil and gas arm of Mannai. This partnership aims to improve the availability and quality of rotating equipment repairs and services.
Under the agreement, Sulzer’s teams will be based at Manweir’s facility. They will deliver in-country services for clients in oil and gas, power generation, water desalination, and other industrial sectors.
The new setup will significantly reduce delivery times by eliminating the need to send equipment abroad for servicing. With the strengthened local presence of both companies, Sulzer will bring its global operational excellence and OEM expertise. This will enhance reliability and efficiency in servicing rotating equipment.
The partnership also aligns with national goals to boost industrial self-reliance and promote In-Country Value (ICV). It supports sustainable economic development and the objectives outlined in long-term national strategies.
Alex Myers, President of Sulzer Services INMEC Region, said: “We strive to be close to our customers, and this partnership with Manweir enables us to deliver high-quality service and safety standards more efficiently.”
Neil Angus, General Manager of Manweir WLL, added: “We are pleased to join forces with Sulzer. This collaboration will accelerate technological advancements, enhance service delivery, and offer a one-stop solution for rotating equipment maintenance. Together, we aim to drive innovation and support sustainable growth.”
The partnership aims to integrate local capabilities with global best practices. It seeks to raise service standards, foster innovation, and strengthen cooperation with customers to support the region’s evolving industrial landscape.
