Strengthening Economic Partnerships: Bahrain Enhances Relations with Bangladesh and Pakistan

Strengthening Economic Partnerships is a key focus for Bahrain as the country continues to deepen its ties with friendly nations. As part of these ongoing efforts, Sameer Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed two prominent ambassadors to the Kingdom. He met with Muhammad Rais Hassan Sarwar, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and Saqib Rauf, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meetings centered on opportunities for cooperation and expanding trade relations in key sectors.

During his meeting with the Bangladeshi Ambassador, Nass underscored the long-standing bilateral relationship between Bahrain and Bangladesh. He noted that trade between the two countries reached approximately $38.3 million in 2024. Nass expressed optimism that both nations would see this figure grow by fostering new partnerships between their private sectors. He also stressed that strengthening economic partnerships would play a central role in expanding trade and business collaboration.

In his discussion with the Pakistani Ambassador, Nass praised the historical bonds between Bahrain and Pakistan, which span decades. He highlighted the deep economic, cultural, and popular connections shared by the two countries. Nass also reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to supporting strengthening economic partnerships with regional and international allies. This includes facilitating communication between business owners, organizing forums, and promoting trade delegations. These efforts aim to serve the national economy and reinforce Bahrain’s position as a leading hub for trade and investment in the region.

Both ambassadors expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to enhancing trade relations with Bahrain. They emphasized the importance of strengthening economic partnerships for the benefit of their nations and the broader region. They also highlighted their full support for any collaborative efforts that would further improve the exchange of trade and investment between Bahrain, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.

Bahrain’s continued diplomatic efforts demonstrate its commitment to fostering economic growth through strategic partnerships with countries across the globe.
