Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, took part in a ceremony on Wednesday marking the 20th anniversary of Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q). The university is a key academic partner in Education City.
The event celebrated two decades of educational collaboration and shared accomplishments. As part of the ceremony, Georgetown University and Qatar Foundation signed an agreement to renew their partnership for another ten years. This renewal continues their commitment to academic excellence and global cooperation.
Sheikha Moza emphasized the importance of the renewed agreement. She said that Qatar Foundation remains dedicated to promoting cross-cultural understanding and global collaboration—values that are equally upheld by Georgetown University. Additionally, she noted the shared mission to inspire future generations who will work to build bridges between nations.
In recognition of her contributions to education and international cooperation, Sheikha Moza was presented with the Georgetown University President’s Medal during the ceremony.
