SEWA Completes Six Lighting Projects in Sharjah’s Central Region

The Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) completed six lighting projects in the Central Region during the first quarter of 2025.

The projects involved the installation of 1,175 new lighting poles and 1,591 energy-efficient lamps and fixtures, with a total investment of AED 11 million.

Eng. Khalifa Mohammed Al Tuneiji, Director of the Central Region Department at SEWA, stated that all lighting projects were executed to the highest standards.

The completed projects included:

  • Lighting Phase 2 of Al Hisn Residential Area in Al Dhaid
  • Lighting Al Dhaid Camel Race Track
  • Upgrading lighting in Jabal Omar Residential Area in Al Dhaid
  • Lighting Phase 2 of Al Suwaihat Residential Area in Al Dhaid
  • Lighting cattle farms in Mleiha
  • Further upgrades to lighting in Jabal Omar Residential Area

Al Tuneiji emphasized SEWA’s commitment to providing top-quality services for developmental and tourism projects.
He also noted that expanding and upgrading lighting infrastructure across the Central Region enhances safety, security, and the overall urban and aesthetic appearance of the area.
