The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that Dhul Qada 1, which falls on April 29, will be the last date for foreign Umrah pilgrims to leave Saudi Arabia. This measure is part of the preparations for the upcoming annual Hajj season, which officially begins on Dhul Qada 1.
In a statement, the Ministry clarified that Shawwal 15, corresponding to April 13, is the final date for pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia for Umrah. After this deadline, pilgrims will not be permitted to enter the Kingdom for the purpose of performing Umrah.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to these deadlines and warned that overstaying after the specified dates would be considered a violation, subject to legal penalties. It urged both individual pilgrims and the companies responsible for their travel arrangements to comply with the regulations and ensure that pilgrims depart within the stipulated timeframe.
Additionally, the Ministry issued a stern warning to Umrah service providers. It stated that failure to report any overstaying pilgrims or delay in their departure could lead to hefty fines, with penalties reaching up to SR100,000. Legal action will also be taken against those who violate the regulations.
These measures are aimed at ensuring a smooth transition to the Hajj season and maintaining order during this critical period for religious travel in the Kingdom. Pilgrims and service providers are urged to cooperate fully with the Ministry’s instructions to avoid any complications or legal consequences.
