Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has emphasized the importance of receiving the meningitis vaccine. This applies to those planning to perform Umrah during Ramadan. This initiative is part of efforts to enhance public health and prevent the spread of infectious diseases, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The ministry recommended that individuals get vaccinated at least 10 days before traveling. This ensures immunity. Those vaccinated within the last five years are not required to receive a booster dose, as the vaccine remains effective during this period.
Pilgrims are also encouraged to schedule their vaccination through the Sehhaty app at adult vaccination clinics. This ensures adherence to preventive measures for a safe and healthy Umrah experience. This directive supports the Ministry’s ongoing efforts. Their goal is to safeguard the health of Umrah performers and improve the overall healthcare system.
