Saudi Arabia is actively supporting peace and stability in Sudan, showing the Kingdom’s role in restoring security. In Port Sudan, Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji met Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council chairman, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to discuss ongoing efforts for peace.

The meeting highlighted Saudi Arabia’s dedication to helping Sudan protect its unity and territorial integrity. Al-Khuraiji confirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to restoring security while supporting development across Sudan. He also conveyed greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to General Al-Burhan.

General Al-Burhan welcomed Saudi Arabia’s support and expressed hope for Sudan’s growth, peace, and prosperity. Both leaders talked about ways to protect civilians, reduce conflict, and advance talks for lasting peace. They also discussed regional cooperation to stabilize Sudan politically and economically.

The Kingdom wants to prevent divisions and ensure a smooth transition toward stable governance.

The discussion also covered humanitarian aid. Saudi officials emphasized helping displaced families and planning long-term reconstruction. Both sides agreed that strengthening Sudan’s institutions is vital for sustainable peace and stability.

The meeting ended with a clear understanding that dialogue, cooperation, and external support are key to achieving peace. Saudi Arabia will continue its efforts to help Sudan overcome challenges and secure a safe, unified future.
