The Saudi Cultural Development Fund (CDF) has announced its official participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, joining the Saudi Pavilion in Japan from April 13 to October 13, 2025. The move underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to positioning culture as a central pillar of economic growth and sustainable development under Vision 2030.
Through its presence at the Expo, CDF aims to spotlight Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage and evolving cultural identity, while reinforcing its role as a key financial enabler of the cultural sector. The Fund’s participation aligns with the goals of the National Culture Strategy and Vision 2030’s broader agenda of economic diversification.
CDF will organize a series of activities designed to highlight investment opportunities within Saudi Arabia’s cultural ecosystem. A major emphasis will be placed on cultural entrepreneurship and the role of creative industries in driving economic and social progress. The initiative will also showcase the Year of Handicrafts, a campaign celebrating traditional craftsmanship and innovative cultural projects supported by CDF.
The Fund will participate in panel discussions and networking events with local and international experts, offering insights into Saudi Arabia’s 16 cultural sectors. These sessions will also introduce CDF’s financial and enablement solutions tailored to support cultural projects and businesses.
In addition, dedicated workshops will familiarize attendees with CDF’s available support programs and emphasize the cultural sector’s growing contribution to the Kingdom’s sustainable development goals.
Saudi Arabia’s participation at Expo 2025 Osaka, through CDF and other entities, reflects its ambition to share its cultural journey with a global audience while attracting investment, fostering innovation, and advancing cultural diplomacy.
