Saudi Citizen Arrested for Promoting Fraudulent Hajj Advertisements

The Makkah Region Police have arrested a Saudi national for publishing false and misleading Hajj campaign advertisements on social media platforms. The individual promoted deceptive services, including accommodation and transportation for pilgrims within the holy sites. This was done with the aim of committing fraud.

Authorities have confirmed that legal measures were promptly taken. Furthermore, the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.

In response, Public Security has urged all citizens and residents to strictly follow official Hajj guidelines and regulations. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious or unlawful activities. This can be done by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in all other regions of the Kingdom.
