Saudi Arabia’s aid organization, KSrelief, recently conducted a specialized training course in Yemen’s Aden governorate to equip healthcare personnel with the skills needed to manage cholera cases and implement infection control measures.
Organized in collaboration with the World Health Organization and Yemen’s Ministry of Health, the training took place on February 12 and 13 as part of an ongoing cholera-prevention initiative. A total of 170 doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers from across Yemen participated in the program.
The course covered key topics such as cholera transmission, risk factors, clinical symptoms, dehydration assessment, treatment strategies for pregnant women, and managing malnourished children affected by the disease.
This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts, through KSrelief, to strengthen Yemen’s healthcare system and combat the spread of infectious diseases.
