Saudi Arabia has announced the promotion and appointment of 212 judges across various levels of the judicial system following a royal order issued by King Salman.
The decision was confirmed by Minister of Justice and Acting President of the Supreme Judicial Council Walid Al-Samaani, who described the move as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s judicial sector and improve institutional efficiency.
According to Al-Samaani, the appointments and promotions aim to enhance judicial performance, improve the quality of rulings and support faster legal procedures across the courts system.
He said the royal order reflects continued support from the Saudi leadership for the development of the judiciary and the modernization of legal services provided to the public.
The minister added that the move is expected to contribute to improving beneficiary satisfaction and advancing standards within the justice sector.
Al-Samaani also expressed appreciation for the leadership’s support of judicial reforms and wished the newly appointed and promoted judges success in carrying out their responsibilities.
The Ministry of Justice has introduced several initiatives in recent years focused on digital transformation, court efficiency and the expansion of legal services as part of broader institutional reforms in Saudi Arabia.
