Saudi and Syrian Ministers Strengthen Digital Cooperation in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia welcomed a Syrian delegation to Riyadh this week to enhance digital cooperation in technology and innovation. The meeting highlighted shared goals in building a thriving digital economy, with both sides agreeing on strategic initiatives for growth and development.

Abdullah Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia, hosted Abdulsalam Haykal, Minister of Communications and Technology of Syria. Haykal arrived in the Kingdom with a high-level delegation to attend the Global Symposium for Regulators, running in Riyadh until September 3.

During their talks, both ministers stressed the importance of digital cooperation in accelerating economic growth. They emphasized the need to strengthen joint initiatives in infrastructure, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, they discussed ways to empower youth to actively contribute to shaping the digital future.

Officials highlighted that fostering digital cooperation helps create sustainable opportunities for businesses in both countries. This vision includes building stronger partnerships that support long-term development goals across vital sectors.
