Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud and Bahraini Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa co-chaired the fourth meeting of the Security Coordination Committee.
The session, part of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, was held at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Jeddah.
The meeting reviewed key security issues of mutual interest.
It aimed to enhance performance and strengthen cooperation to address emerging security challenges amid regional and global developments.
Discussions highlighted several joint achievements.
These included efforts to curb the spread of extremist ideology among youth and strengthened cooperation in cybersecurity.
Other accomplishments were the successful linking of the two nations’ main operations rooms and the completion of the first phase of initiatives facilitating citizen travel through airports.
Prince Abdulaziz emphasized that the meeting marked an important step forward in bilateral security cooperation.
He praised the progress made by working groups from both sides in implementing committee initiatives.
He noted that these efforts are crucial for promoting joint security operations and improving services for citizens of both countries.
Bahraini Minister Sheikh Rashid stressed that “the security of the two brotherly nations is indivisible,” reaffirming the commitment to a long-term strategic security partnership.
He praised the qualitative progress achieved across various security sectors and commended the working groups’ role in advancing cooperation projects.
