International architecture firm RSHP has announced the opening of its newest office in Dubai. This marks its first permanent presence in the Middle East. The move signals the London-based firm’s commitment to contributing to the region’s fast-evolving architectural landscape.
With existing offices in Paris, New York, Shanghai, and Sydney, the Dubai location becomes RSHP’s sixth global hub. The expansion coincides with the unveiling of a major new project in the city—Peninsula Dubai. This project is a luxury waterfront development located in the prestigious Jumeirah district.
Senior Director John McElgunn emphasized the importance of the firm’s regional commitment: “This expansion reflects our commitment to strengthening our presence in the region. We are collaborating on transformative projects that shape the future.”
Peninsula Dubai, designed for H&H Development, will be built on reclaimed land at the entrance of the Dubai Canal along the Arabian Gulf. The ambitious mixed-use complex will include:
- A five-star hotel with 240 rooms
- 182 luxury apartments
- 7,000 square meters of high-end retail space
- A 32-berth private marina
The design features a linear composition of six interconnected buildings flanked by two pairs of towers. Crowned atop each tower are four exclusive triplex penthouses, each boasting landscaped rooftop gardens and private swimming pools.
This project follows RSHP’s previous regional development, Maryah Plaza in Abu Dhabi—a 500-home waterfront scheme for the Taiwanese property developer Farglory Group.
As RSHP deepens its footprint in the Middle East, the firm is poised to play a key role in shaping the region’s future through sustainable and innovative architecture.
