ABHA: The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) will take part in the Cobra Warrior 25-1 exercise, set to take place in the United Kingdom from February 24 to March 14. The exercise will be conducted in collaboration with several friendly nations, including the United Kingdom, Qatar, Turkey, and France, and will focus on enhancing operational capabilities and strengthening international military cooperation.
A farewell ceremony was held at King Khalid Air Base in the southern Asir region to honor the RSAF members departing for the UK. The event was attended by high-ranking military officials, including Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force Lt. Gen. Turki bin Bandar, who addressed the departing airmen.
Lt. Gen. Turki congratulated the aircrew on the honor of representing the Kingdom and urged them to perform to the best of their abilities. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the highest safety standards during the exercise and taking full advantage of the training to gain valuable combat experience. Additionally, he highlighted the strategic goals of the exercise, which include strengthening Saudi Arabia’s military ties with the British Royal Air Force and other international forces while showcasing the RSAF’s capabilities and readiness in a complex combat environment.
The Cobra Warrior 25-1 exercise will be conducted across multiple UK bases, including RAF Waddington, RAF Coningsby, RAF Lakenheath, and RAF Mildenhall. The Saudi Air Force will participate with a fleet of F-15SA aircraft, alongside various systems from the host nation’s Air Force and the forces of other participating countries.
This exercise is an important opportunity for the Saudi Air Force to further enhance its combat proficiency and contribute to fostering closer defense relationships with allied nations
