Muscat – The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) successfully carried out two critical operations, including a search and rescue mission and a medical evacuation, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to emergency response and humanitarian support across the Sultanate.
In Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, RAFO conducted a rescue operation to assist a citizen who had fallen from a mountain cliff in the Al Afiyah area of Samail province. Upon receiving the alert, a specialized team was deployed, and the injured individual was airlifted from the accident site to Samail Hospital. Medical personnel at the hospital provided immediate care and conducted necessary examinations to assess the extent of the injuries.
In a separate mission, RAFO carried out a medical evacuation for a female citizen requiring urgent specialized treatment. The airlift operation played a crucial role in facilitating her treatment by reducing travel time and ensuring she received immediate attention from specialists.
These operations underscore the Royal Air Force of Oman’s vital role in supporting emergency response efforts, particularly in cases where rapid intervention is essential. RAFO continues to play a key part in national humanitarian initiatives, providing swift assistance in search and rescue missions, medical evacuations, and disaster relief operations.
Authorities have reiterated the importance of caution while exploring mountainous and remote areas, urging citizens and residents to take necessary safety measures. Meanwhile, RAFO remains prepared to respond to emergencies, utilizing its highly trained personnel and advanced air transport capabilities to ensure the safety and well-being of the public.
