Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has launched Eidiya ATMs in 10 malls across the country. This makes it easier for families to withdraw special banknotes for Eid celebrations. The service began on Sunday and offers denominations of QR5, QR10, QR50, and QR100.
The Eidiya ATMs can be found at Place Vendome, Mall of Qatar, Al Wakrah Old Souq, Doha Festival City, Al Hazm, Al Mirqab Mall, West Walk, Al Khor Mall, Al Meera (Muaither), and Al Meera (Al Thumama). These locations were chosen to provide easy access for residents across different areas.
QCB’s initiative aims to revive the cherished tradition of Eidiya. This practice involves elders giving children money as a gift during Eid. By making smaller denominations more accessible, QCB encourages families to continue this cultural tradition. This reinforces its significance in Qatari heritage.
The introduction of Eidiya ATMs reflects QCB’s commitment to preserving traditions while integrating modern banking convenience. With the festive season approaching, families can now easily withdraw Eidiya and celebrate Eid with their loved ones.
