QB 11 Stars secured a dominant 40-run victory over Zidan Cricket Club to claim the title in the Qatar Cricket Association’s QCA Softball 2024-25 T10 Tournament. The match was held at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, QB 11 Stars posted a formidable 163 for 3. This was thanks to a powerful 53-run innings by Beshad Mohammed (23 balls; 1 four, 7 sixes) and an explosive unbeaten 52 by Mohammed Rifan (15 balls; 1 four, 7 sixes).
In response, Zidan CC managed 123 for 5. Sanath (28) and KD Risvi (20) contributed a 52-run partnership off 17 balls. Despite their efforts, Zidan CC couldn’t maintain the momentum. They fell short by 40 runs.
Mohammed Rifan was named Man of the Match for his impactful performance.
The first edition of the T10 tournament showcased high levels of skill and excitement. Across 75 matches, a total of 11,656 runs were scored, including 950 sixes and 487 fours. Forty-one players registered half-centuries, while one player scored a century. The tournament also recorded 390 catches and 65 stumpings.
Qatar Cricket Association CEO Khalid Al Suwaidi presented the trophies. He praised the spirit of the tournament, describing it as a celebration of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
