Qatar has built its education system on the wise vision of its leadership, said Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater. This vision has driven the country to establish a world-class educational infrastructure, ensuring schools, institutes, and universities meet global standards.
Speaking at the 18th Education Excellence Day Award ceremony, Al Khater highlighted the strategic focus on qualified educators, modern curricula, equal opportunities, and scientific research. She emphasized that nurturing talent is key to national development, as it empowers individuals to contribute to Qatar’s progress.
This year’s award saw record participation, with 277 applicants competing from diverse institutions. A total of 80 winners were recognized, reflecting Qatar’s strong emphasis on academic achievement. Since its launch in 2006, the award has encouraged excellence and innovation across the education sector.
Al Khater also noted that Qatar’s significant investment in education has led to rapid progress. This commitment has positively impacted the economy and strengthened the country’s global standing. She stressed that education is a continuous journey, requiring constant adaptation to technological advancements and evolving job market demands.
Qatar remains dedicated to fostering a knowledge-based society by supporting students, educators, and researchers. The minister expressed deep gratitude to HH the Amir for his ongoing patronage of the award and praised this year’s winners for their dedication and success.
