QatarDebate and Hamilton-Lugar School Sign MoU to Boost Academic and Cultural Collaboration

QatarDebate Center has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Hamilton-Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University in the United States. This agreement paves the way for enhanced academic cooperation and cross-cultural exchange between the two institutions.

The agreement was signed on the Indiana University campus by Abdulrahman Al Subaie, Director of Programs at QatarDebate, and Professor John Ciorciari, Dean of the Hamilton-Lugar School. It sets a broad framework for collaboration in areas such as educational resource sharing. Additionally, it covers academic engagement and student-centered programs.

Officials and academics from both sides attended the ceremony. This event marked a new chapter in fostering dialogue and understanding between the State of Qatar and the United States. Al Subaie highlighted the strategic value of this partnership. He stated that it aligns with QatarDebate’s mission to empower youth through programs that enhance critical thinking. It also encourages meaningful dialogue between cultures.

The MoU outlines plans for the co-organization of conferences, workshops, and debate championships. These events will serve as platforms for developing students’ skills in logical reasoning, intercultural communication, and global awareness. In addition, it includes provisions for sharing teaching tools and educational materials to support mutual academic goals.

The Hamilton-Lugar School is regarded as one of the top academic institutions in the U.S. for international studies. It offers programs in global affairs, geopolitical analysis, and diplomacy. The school has a strong reputation for research in global policy and international relations.
