Qatar to Showcase Expanded Pavilion at Amman International Book Fair

The Qatar participation in Amman International Book Fair will stand out in the 24th edition starting September 25. The event will run until October 4, 2025, with Qatar’s Ministry of Culture leading an expanded pavilion. Several Qatari publishing houses will also present their works, confirming the country’s active cultural engagement.

Organizers explained that Qatar requested an expansion of its pavilion to 36 square meters. This step shows determination to highlight its publishing industry and writers. The Qatar participation in Amman International Book Fair underlines the country’s growing role in regional cultural events.

Qatari writers and creatives will attend the fair and engage with audiences through talks and book signings. Their presence reflects a strong cultural movement that continues to flourish across the Arab world. Jordanian publishers also enjoy active participation in the Doha International Book Fair, reinforcing cultural ties between the two countries.

The 2025 edition will host around 400 publishing houses from different parts of the world. Countries taking part include Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Lebanon, Iraq, Oman, Turkey, China, Canada, and the UK. Organizers aim to make the fair a central hub for literature, knowledge, and cultural exchange.

Attendance is expected to exceed last year’s half a million visitors. To ensure affordability, management instructed publishers to provide discounts of at least 25 percent. These measures encourage reading and support access to books for a wider audience.

The fair also plans a diverse program of events. Cultural discussions, workshops, and exhibitions will encourage dialogue among intellectuals and writers. The Qatar participation in Amman International Book Fair highlights how cultural events build bridges between societies and create opportunities for deeper cooperation.

The fair’s leadership aims to make the event more than a commercial exhibition. They see it as a cultural platform that inspires awareness, creativity, and openness. By providing space for publishers and readers, the event strengthens the Arab cultural identity while welcoming international contributions.

In conclusion, Qatar’s role in this year’s event shows a clear vision. The participation demonstrates cultural pride, encourages dialogue, and deepens relations between Qatar, Jordan, and the wider Arab region.
