Qatar Reaffirms Support for Libya’s Unity and Stability

Doha, Qatar – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with Abdul Hamid Mohammed Al Dbeiba, Head of the Government of National Unity of Libya. The meeting took place at the Amiri Diwan on Tuesday.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation between Qatar and Libya. They also reviewed key developments in the region, including the ongoing situation in Gaza, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Syria.

Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed Qatar’s firm stance on supporting Libya’s unity, sovereignty, and stability. He emphasized Qatar’s commitment to backing the Libyan political process. Further, he supported UN Security Council resolutions and advocated for peaceful solutions that safeguard Libya’s interests.

The discussions reflected Qatar’s continued diplomatic efforts in the region. This reinforces its role in promoting stability, development, and peace in Libya and beyond.
