Qatar Prime Minister Meets French Envoy to Lebanon

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held a meeting on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. He met with HE Jean-Yves Le Drian, the French Presidential Envoy to Lebanon, who is on an official visit.

The discussions focused on bilateral relations between Qatar and France, as well as the latest developments in Lebanon. Both sides also addressed several regional and international issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from all Lebanese territories. He also underscored the need for all parties to adhere to the ceasefire agreement and to avoid escalation. He stressed that such steps are crucial to ensuring regional security and stability.
