Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and US President Donald Trump discussed regional and international developments during a phone call on Wednesday, with a focus on de-escalating tensions and ensuring stability in global energy markets.

The talks came amid heightened regional tensions, with both leaders addressing the potential impact on international navigation routes, energy security, and global supply chains.

According to the Qatar News Agency, the Emir stressed the importance of intensifying international diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation in the region.

He emphasized that diplomacy should remain the primary approach to resolving crises, in order to safeguard regional and global stability.

For his part, the US President reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to coordination with Qatar on key regional issues, particularly those related to energy market stability and the security of global trade routes.
