Qatar and Asharqia Chambers Discuss Strengthening Ties

Qatar Chamber hosted a Saudi business delegation from the Asharqia Chamber on Sunday, led by Nasser bin Rashed Al Bjjash Al Hajri. He is a board member and head of the Communications and Technology Committee. The delegation’s visit aimed at enhancing collaboration between the two chambers. They also explored investment opportunities, particularly in the fields of information technology and digital transformation.

The delegation was welcomed by Qatar Chamber board members, Dr Khalid bin Klefeekh Al Hajri and Abdulrahman bin Abduljalil Al Abdulghani. It included prominent figures from Saudi Arabia’s ICT and AI sectors.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties, addressing challenges faced by investors in both nations, and identifying key areas for future cooperation. Dr Khalid Al Hajri praised the strong trade relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. He emphasized Qatar Chamber’s ongoing commitment to fostering partnerships between business communities in both countries. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of frequent coordination to promote trade and investment.

Abdulrahman Al Abdulghani stressed the need to address obstacles preventing mutual investments. He reaffirmed Qatar Chamber’s dedication to enhancing ties with the Asharqia Chamber.

Nasser Al Bjjash Al Hajri also highlighted the significant opportunities for collaboration, particularly in technology. He urged Qatar’s business owners to explore potential investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. He encouraged the Qatar Chamber and Qatari investors to visit the region to explore business prospects.

The Saudi delegation underscored the value of combining expertise and resources from both countries, particularly in IT and digital transformation. They noted the promising potential of the Qatari market, which is eager for digital growth. The market offers a fertile ground for joint Saudi-Qatari ventures.
