Public-Private Partnerships Drive New Housing Solutions in Bahrain

Bahrain continues to prioritize housing development through strategic collaboration. Recently, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi held a key meeting. The session included representatives from real estate firms and commercial banks across Bahrain.

The meeting focused on enhancing housing solutions in Bahrain through private sector partnerships. The discussion covered several important topics, including the launch of the new “Tas’heel+” financing scheme.

This new initiative will expand financing options for citizens. It joins a group of existing housing support programs offered by the Ministry. These programs aim to improve access to homes and increase citizen satisfaction.

Minister Al Rumaihi emphasized the leadership’s ongoing support for housing development. She confirmed that Bahrain will provide 50,000 new housing units. This goal follows directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Furthermore, the Minister praised the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. She credited his leadership for supporting new partnerships and ensuring real progress in housing.

Real estate companies and banks expressed full support for these government efforts. They also acknowledged the important role of the private sector in achieving success.

Minister Al Rumaihi reviewed past successes such as the Housing Finance Program and the Government Land Development Rights Program. These programs have delivered thousands of homes to citizens through combined efforts.

In addition, the new “Tas’heel+” initiative promises to offer better financing and faster services. This effort will significantly expand housing solutions in Bahrain.

She also recognized commercial banks for offering competitive financing options. Their support helps more families gain immediate access to homes.

Industry leaders agreed that government-private sector partnerships create value. These efforts have strengthened the economy and boosted real estate activity.

Finally, Minister Al Rumaihi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive, high-quality, and flexible housing. Together, these actions continue to reshape housing solutions in Bahrain for current and future generations.
