Omani Biker Highlights Oman Through Epic Ride

In an extraordinary display of endurance and passion, Omani biker Wael al Yaqoubi has completed a historic journey. He rode his motorcycle overland from Muscat to Iceland, covering more than 20,000 kilometres.

This incredible journey made him the first Arab and Gulf national to reach Iceland on a motorcycle. His adventure took him through 18 countries across Europe and Asia.

Al Yaqoubi began his trip in 2024 from his hometown of Muscat. He didn’t just aim for personal achievement. He also set out to promote adventure and cultural outreach through his travels.

Throughout the journey, he stopped in major cities, sharing stories and experiences about Oman’s rich culture. He met people from different backgrounds and introduced them to Omani heritage.

His journey sparked interest among international travellers and motorbike enthusiasts alike. He used every stop to speak about Oman’s beauty, hospitality, and history.

In interviews along the route, al Yaqoubi described the trip as both challenging and rewarding. He faced rough terrain, unpredictable weather, and long hours on the road.

Despite these difficulties, his goal of combining adventure and cultural outreach never faded. He documented each stage of his journey on social media to reach a wider audience.

The response from global followers was overwhelmingly positive. Many were inspired by his dedication and praised his efforts to connect cultures through travel.

Al Yaqoubi believes this trip proves that dreams are possible with determination and vision. He also hopes it encourages more Arabs to explore the world by road.

Through this historic ride, he placed Oman firmly on the map of global travel. His mission of adventure and cultural outreach showed how one journey can connect nations.

His next goal? He plans to inspire youth to explore the world while staying rooted in their identity and values.
