Oman Showcases Tourism at ITB Berlin 2025

The Sultanate of Oman has officially kicked off its participation in the International Tourism Exchange Berlin (ITB) 2025. The event began on Tuesday in Berlin, Germany, and will continue for three days. Oman’s delegation includes the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, along with representatives from 54 institutions specializing in travel, tourism, and hospitality. Additionally, four strategic partners are also part of the delegation.

Oman’s participation in ITB Berlin aims to highlight the country as a leading tourist destination. The Sultanate offers unique tourism experiences that cater to various interests, making it an attractive destination for international travelers. Furthermore, Oman seeks to establish agreements that will enhance the tourism sector, ensuring it keeps pace with global trends.

The delegation also aims to learn from global best practices and explore strategies that can foster tourism growth. By attending the ITB Berlin, Oman hopes to attract nontraditional markets and achieve record levels of tourism. The event provides a platform for discussing innovative strategies to expand the tourism industry.

This year’s participation in ITB Berlin, one of the largest global tourism exhibitions, focuses on creating innovative marketing strategies. Oman aims to develop new promotional pillars that will increase its presence in both European and international markets. Special attention is given to the German market, where the Sultanate sees significant growth potential.

According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information, the German market is the largest source of European visitors to Oman. Over 135,000 German tourists visited Oman by the end of last year, making it the fourth-largest market overall, following the UAE, India, and Yemen. In December alone, the number of visitors from European countries reached approximately 103,800.

In conclusion, Oman’s participation in ITB Berlin 2025 highlights the country’s commitment to growing its tourism sector. By showcasing its unique offerings and fostering global partnerships, Oman is setting the stage for a brighter future in international tourism.
