Oman Rescue Teams Airlift Injured Man In Sohar

Emergency teams in Oman responded to a mountain accident in the Wilayat of Sohar, North Al Batinah Governorate, after a citizen suffered multiple fractures following a fall while climbing.

The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, in coordination with police aviation units, carried out a rapid rescue operation at the scene in the village of Janah, officials said.

According to authorities, the injured man received initial medical care on-site before being airlifted to the nearest hospital for further treatment. His condition was reported as stable.

Police aviation confirmed that the evacuation was carried out due to the severity of the injuries and the difficult mountainous terrain, which required specialised response teams.

Rescue services said the operation highlights ongoing efforts to ensure rapid emergency response across Oman’s varied terrain, particularly in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
