Oman-Lebanon Forum Strengthens Economic Ties and Investment Opportunities

The Oman-Lebanon Economic Forum emphasizes strengthening economic cooperation between the two nations. It will expand trade and investment opportunities. The forum runs from October 27 to 29 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, hosting senior officials, investors, and business leaders from both countries.

Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Lebanon’s Ministry of Economy and Trade jointly organize the event. They aim to enhance economic ties, while the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Lebanon’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture provide additional support to ensure full cooperation.

Participants will explore strengthening economic cooperation by sharing expertise and building long-term investment partnerships. Entrepreneurs will engage in focused business-to-business sessions, exchanging practical strategies for trade, industry, and sustainable investment. The opening day includes a presentation on investment opportunities, followed by several specialized sessions addressing industrial growth and collaboration.

One session, “Prospects for Economic Integration between Oman and Lebanon,” focuses on industrial, trade, and investment growth, with experts providing actionable insights. Another session emphasizes tourism and investment integration, where public and private sector leaders discuss collaboration and market opportunities for entrepreneurs.

The Lebanese-Omani Economic and Trade Exhibition runs alongside the forum. Over 100 companies will display products from food, tourism, logistics, and industry sectors. Omani exports to Lebanon reached RO 5.6 million in 2024, marking a 70 percent increase from 2023. Main exports include iron, polyethylene, and glass, while Lebanese exports to Oman include grains, oils, personal care products, and paper goods. This highlights the forum’s role in strengthening economic cooperation.

Officials stressed that the forum reflects both nations’ goals for deeper economic integration. It encourages partnerships, knowledge exchange, and innovation. The Oman-Lebanon Economic Forum demonstrates how regional cooperation can foster sustainable growth and mutually beneficial trade opportunities for both countries.
