Oman Hosts 23rd International Conference on English Language Teaching at SQU

The 23rd edition of the Oman International Conference on English Language Teaching (ELT) commenced on Thursday at Sultan Qaboos University. The event is under the theme “Future-Ready ELT: Merging Language Learning with Critical Life Skills.”

The two-day event was inaugurated under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education. It was also attended by HH Sayyid Dr. Fahd Julanda Al Said, Vice-Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University.

This year’s conference has drawn over 400 participants, including academics, educators, and ELT professionals from Oman and across the globe. The sessions aim to explore innovative teaching strategies. They integrate language instruction with essential life skills, preparing learners to thrive in an increasingly globalized world.
