Oman–Dagestan Talks Boost Trade Cooperation

Oman–Dagestan cooperation gained new momentum during a high-level meeting held in Muscat on Monday. Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, welcomed Dagestan’s Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov. They discussed the shared desire to enhance ties and unlock opportunities across various sectors. Both leaders agreed that strong economic partnerships serve as pillars of sustainable development. The meeting highlighted a mutual interest in building long-term cooperation based on trust and practical results.

The talks focused on deepening Oman–Dagestan cooperation in trade, industry, tourism, and investment. Leaders explored joint opportunities in agriculture, infrastructure, and technology that could benefit both sides. Al Yousef expressed Oman’s firm commitment to diversifying international partnerships and sharing technical knowledge. He said exchanging experiences could help both countries develop sectoral expertise and boost economic output. The Dagestani delegation welcomed Oman’s open approach and stressed the potential of a regional alliance.

Dr. Saleh Said Masn, Undersecretary for Commerce and Industry, attended the meeting alongside senior Omani officials. Oleg Vladimirovich Levin, Ambassador-designate of the Russian Federation to Oman, also joined the discussions. The presence of high-ranking representatives underlined the importance both nations place on building meaningful alliances. As talks progressed, the two sides reviewed proposals to develop action plans and launch pilot projects. Oman–Dagestan cooperation remained a central theme throughout all discussions.

The officials acknowledged the need to strengthen business-to-business ties and promote private sector involvement. Al Yousef emphasized the value of regular engagement through bilateral visits and industry events. He called for stronger coordination between ministries to turn shared visions into concrete projects. Abdulmuslimov agreed and said joint ventures could accelerate growth and innovation in strategic sectors. Oman–Dagestan cooperation, they said, must include measurable goals and scheduled follow-ups.

By the end of the meeting, both sides had reaffirmed their dedication to expanding bilateral cooperation through sustained effort. They agreed that dialogue must be ongoing and backed by specific deliverables. Oman and Dagestan now plan to establish working groups to streamline future collaboration. Leaders on both sides believe these initiatives will enhance connectivity, regional stability, and mutual prosperity. With shared ambition, Oman–Dagestan cooperation is expected to enter a dynamic new phase.
