National Strategy 2025-2030 Launched to Transform Qatar’s Social Development

Under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar officially launched the National Strategy 2025-2030 on Sunday. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF), comes under the theme “From Care to Empowerment.”

At the event, government ministers, senior officials, and civil society representatives gathered to witness the unveiling of this ambitious plan. The National Strategy 2025-2030 marks a significant shift in Qatar’s social development approach. Moreover, it aims to transform the current care model into one that is more empowering and sustainable.

Minister HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi emphasized that the strategy reflects a realistic understanding of Qatar’s social needs. She further noted that the plan was the result of close collaboration among government bodies, civil institutions, and research centers.

The National Strategy 2025-2030 rests on five essential pillars. First, it focuses on strengthening family cohesion. This includes developing parental education, preventive policies, and mental health initiatives to build a stable family environment.

Second, the plan seeks to empower Qatari women by increasing their participation, especially in leadership and decision-making roles. Third, it prioritizes vulnerable groups such as persons with disabilities, the elderly, widows, divorcees, and orphans by offering comprehensive social services that foster their independence.

Additionally, the fourth pillar encourages community engagement. It supports civil society organizations, promotes volunteerism, and ensures charitable efforts remain sustainable.

Finally, the strategy aims to improve living standards through economic empowerment. This includes helping productive families, advancing social services via digital tools, and enhancing national partnerships.

Overall, the National Strategy 2025-2030 aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030. It promises to foster a more inclusive, resilient, and empowered society. As the strategy unfolds, Qatar moves closer to achieving sustainable social growth for all its citizens.
