Muharraq Council Urges Safety Measures After Arad Explosion

Following the Arad explosion, the Muharraq Municipal Council has called for stronger safety measures to prevent future incidents. The explosion, which was reportedly caused by a gas cylinder, tragically resulted in fatalities and injuries. This incident has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of older buildings and the potential risks they pose to public safety.

The Municipal Council expressed its deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones. It also offered wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured in the explosion. The Council commended the quick response and efforts of the Civil Defense Department, Ministry of Interior, and medical teams. These efforts were vital in rescuing the wounded and providing immediate care.

The Council also acknowledged the support and assistance offered by local residents and other organizations in the aftermath. This act of solidarity is a reflection of the strong sense of community that exists within Bahrain.

The Council is calling on the relevant authorities to conduct thorough inspections of such buildings. It also urged for stricter regulations and the implementation of safety measures to prevent the recurrence of such tragic events.

The investigation into the cause of the explosion is ongoing. Authorities are working to gather more information and analyze the situation thoroughly.
