LMRA Conducts 1,248 Inspection Campaigns to Enforce Labor Market Regulations

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted 1,248 inspection campaigns and visits between April 20 and April 26, 2025. These efforts resulted in the arrest of 10 illegal and undocumented workers. Additionally, the authority deported 100 violators during this period.

The inspection campaigns focused on identifying violations of several regulatory laws, especially the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residency Law in Bahrain. The LMRA took immediate legal action against those found in violation.

A total of 1,236 inspections were carried out across commercial establishments in all governorates. Furthermore, the LMRA held 12 joint inspection campaigns. Of these, eight were in the Capital Governorate, two in Muharraq Governorate, and one each in the Northern and Southern Governorates. The joint campaigns included participation from the Ministry of Interior, the Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs Department, local security directorates, the Coast Guard Command, the Supreme Council for the Environment, and the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture.

The LMRA continues to work closely with other government agencies to intensify inspection campaigns throughout all regions of Bahrain. These efforts aim to address violations and practices that threaten the labor market’s stability, competitiveness, and Bahrain’s overall economic and social security.

In addition, the LMRA calls for increased community support in combating illegal labor market practices. The authority encourages citizens to report violations related to irregular employment. People can submit complaints via the LMRA website, the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), or by contacting the LMRA’s call center at 17506055.

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority remains committed to improving the country’s labor market by ensuring compliance with regulations. This helps protect Bahrain’s economy, workforce, and social security.
