Kuwaiti Authorities Foil Major Alcohol Smuggling Operation, Seize 1,500 Bottles and Cash

In a major crackdown on illegal trade, the Criminal Security Sector has successfully apprehended a Bedoun individual. This operation was conducted under the General Department for Drug Control and involved a large-scale alcohol smuggling operation.

The arrest followed an intensive investigation and surveillance campaign led by law enforcement officials. Authorities seized approximately 1,500 bottles of imported liquor, with an estimated street value of over KD 100,000.

During the operation, officers also discovered a substantial amount of cash believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity. The suspect and all confiscated materials have been transferred to the relevant authorities for further legal action.

The bust marks a significant step in Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to combat the smuggling and distribution of prohibited substances. It also aims to uphold public order.
