Kuwait has reinforced its commitment to humanitarian work through a strategic meeting with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The discussion focused on improving cooperation to support communities and advance aid programs. The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Al-Wasmi, met with ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric Egger and Director-General Pierre Krahenbuhl. Alongside their teams, they explored ways to strengthen joint humanitarian programs. The session highlighted practical strategies to deliver aid, assist vulnerable groups, and foster social unity.
Dr. Al-Wasmi emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to advancing Islamic values through humanitarian work. He said acts of charity, giving, and compassion are key to building strong communities. The meeting also underlined Kuwait’s role in ensuring that humanitarian cooperation aligns with national development goals.
The talks reviewed long-term projects in healthcare, education, and emergency relief.
