Kuwait has lifted a long-standing ban on foreign medical hires, opening 187 positions for doctors, nurses, technicians, and pharmacists to meet the growing healthcare demands. The move, a collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the Civil Service Bureau, aims to strengthen hospitals and stabilize the health sector.
Among the 187 positions, 61 are designated for doctors, 117 for nurses, six for technicians, and three for pharmacists. The Ministry of Health confirmed that the initiative is designed to expedite the appointment process, ensuring the swift integration of skilled medical professionals into the healthcare system.
By fast-tracking the hiring of non-Kuwaiti medical personnel, the government seeks to bolster healthcare services, ensuring the timely delivery of care and meeting the rising needs of the population. This strategic decision reflects Kuwait’s commitment to improving its healthcare infrastructure and providing citizens with high-quality medical services.
