Kuwait Issues Weather Alerts Amid Heavy Rain and Workplace Tragedy

Authorities in Kuwait issued urgent Kuwait weather alerts as rainfall continues across the country. Officials told drivers to follow traffic safety rules to prevent accidents. Meteorologists also predicted rain with occasional thunderstorms and fog in some areas.

Drivers must avoid sudden braking, maintain safe distances, and monitor weather updates closely. They should check tires, use windshield wipers, drive below speed limits, and avoid flooded roads. Authorities also warned drivers not to use mobile phones while driving and to call emergency services if needed.

The meteorological department explained that a deep low-pressure system will affect Kuwait until Thursday. Cloud cover will increase, bringing light to moderate rain, with heavy showers expected late Wednesday and continuing intermittently until Thursday evening. Visibility will drop during rainfall, and fog may appear during mornings and evenings.

Winds will blow mostly from the southeast at light to moderate speeds, occasionally strengthening before shifting northwest on Wednesday afternoon. Officials advised residents to follow updates through official websites, mobile apps, and social media to stay informed.

Separately, Kuwait Fire Force reported that two construction workers died after a wall collapsed at a building site in Rai. Rescue teams responded quickly and recovered the bodies. Officials stressed that construction sites must follow strict safety measures to prevent accidents and protect workers’ lives.

Authorities said Kuwait weather alerts are essential to reduce risks during heavy rainfall. Communities should follow guidance, stay cautious, and report hazards immediately. Emergency teams continue to monitor flood-prone areas and assist residents in need.

The government emphasized that preparedness and vigilance remain crucial. By focusing on Kuwait weather alerts, authorities aim to protect lives, prevent accidents, and ensure public safety. Residents and drivers should stay alert, follow instructions, and take precautions until conditions improve.
