Kuwait Foils Major Drug Trafficking Network in Desert Operation

Kuwait authorities carried out a major operation to stop illegal drugs, showing the importance of combating drug trafficking. This effort prevented large amounts of narcotics from reaching the streets, proving that combating drug trafficking protects public safety. In addition, officials stressed that combating drug trafficking is essential to keep the community safe and secure.

The interior ministry’s criminal security sector, through the general department for drug control, found a drug-processing site run by two illegal residents. One of the suspects already serves a life sentence at the Central Prison for drug dealing. Authorities acted quickly after receiving detailed intelligence about the suspects’ illegal operations.

A specialized team followed one suspect to West Abdullah Al-Mubarak, where they kept him under surveillance and later arrested him. Then, investigators went to a private camp in the Salmi desert. There, they found a fully equipped drug-preparation warehouse. The officers seized 40 kg of chemical drugs, 60 kg of pregabalin powder, eight kilograms of marijuana, 500 grams of hashish, five liters of liquid methamphetamine, 300 liters of chemical liquids, seven kilograms of chemical-soaked paper, two precision scales, and other tools for drug processing.

Officials confirmed that the drugs were meant for trafficking. The suspects and all seized materials were handed to the authorities for legal action. They also noted that Kuwait continues to watch and act against criminals 24/7. No offender will escape the law, and all efforts aim to stop drug trafficking.

This operation shows the government’s effort to target organized crime. By using intelligence, careful surveillance, and planned raids, authorities can stop drug networks before they harm the public. Officials also encouraged people to report suspicious activities, helping combat drug trafficking.

The success of this raid shows Kuwait’s commitment to protecting society. Officials promised to keep acting against illegal drug operations and warned criminals that law enforcement remains alert. The operation also builds trust in authorities and reassures citizens about public safety.

Through constant action, public support, and strong planning, Kuwait proves that combating drug trafficking is possible and necessary. Authorities said such steps are vital to keep the nation safe.
