Kuwait’s Civil Service Commission (CSC) has launched a new electronic service allowing government employees to verify and update their marital status through the unified government services application Sahel.
The Commission said the feature is designed to simplify administrative procedures and reduce the need for in-person visits to workplace administration departments.
Under the new system, employees receive notifications through the Sahel app prompting them to confirm the accuracy of their personal information or electronically report any changes to their marital status.
Officials described the initiative as part of Kuwait’s wider digital transformation strategy aimed at modernising public services and accelerating the shift toward a paperless government system.
The CSC said the service currently supports government entities operating integrated digital systems and is intended to improve efficiency while reducing processing time and administrative workload.
Kuwait has increasingly expanded the role of the Sahel platform in recent years, introducing a range of digital government services as part of efforts to streamline interactions between citizens, residents and public institutions.
