Kuwait’s Municipal Council held a new session to support national infrastructure and service development. Chaired by Vice Chairman Khaled Al-Mutairi, the council approved several proposals aimed at improving public services and utility systems.
The Kuwait infrastructure plans expand through new actions taken during this meeting. One key decision gave Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company permission to launch new services at all its bakery outlets. This move will improve access to food services and offer more variety to customers.
The council also approved a major utility request. As well as the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy can now create a fresh water delivery route. This route will serve the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company’s LNG plant in Umm Al-Aish, supporting clean energy operations.
To improve waste management, the Ministry of Public Works received permission to build a pumping station. The ministry will also construct two sewage pipelines. These lines will transfer wastewater from West and South Abdullah Al-Mubarak to the Kabd purification plant. This upgrade will protect the environment and support housing development in the area.
In agriculture, the council gave the green light to relocate a poultry company. The business will move to a new spot inside the Sulaibiya agricultural zone. This move aims to improve farming operations while keeping agricultural activities organized.
Another proposal, also led by Al-Mutairi, received approval. The council will now allocate land in Kabd for a new site to house the Sulaibiya agricultural water pump. This project supports the continued expansion of Kuwait’s farming sector.
The Kuwait infrastructure plans expand with each of these coordinated efforts. Together, these approved projects show Kuwait’s commitment to growth and sustainable development.
At the end of the session, the council members approved a summer recess. The break will run from August 10 to September 9, allowing members time for rest before continuing their work in the fall.
With new projects moving forward, the Kuwait infrastructure plans expand and support national goals for better living standards, cleaner cities, and stronger industries.
