Moreover, this programme highlights the region’s rich traditions while promoting creativity and intercultural dialogue.

The festival includes over 45 events across Katara’s venues. In addition, daily activities will run from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. along the Katara Corniche, featuring competitions, performances, and folk dance shows from several Arab countries. Each display offers a window into Arab heritage and creative innovation. Furthermore, interactive workshops and drawing competitions will allow children to explore the traditions of the participating nations.

Musical performances are a highlight of the programme. Al-Jahra Folk Arts Troupe, Kuwait’s Nasser Bu Awad Troupe, and five other folk dance groups will perform traditional pieces. Qatari Ardha will also be presented, adding a local touch. Omani artist Mariam Al-Munji will perform at Al-Hikma Square, and the Algerian Orchestra will close the festival with a grand concert on December 18. Additionally, audiences can enjoy a spectacular military musical display along the Katara Corniche.

The Arab Opera Festival will take place at the Katara Opera House from December 8 to 10.
