Katara Brings Arts and Culture to Life During 2025 Arab Cup

Katara, the Cultural Village Foundation, is set to offer an extraordinary cultural celebration experience alongside the 2025 Arab Cup. Visitors will enjoy a unique mix of art, music, and heritage, creating an unforgettable atmosphere throughout the tournament. Moreover, this programme highlights the region’s rich traditions while promoting creativity and intercultural dialogue.

The festival includes over 45 events across Katara’s venues. In addition, daily activities will run from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. along the Katara Corniche, featuring competitions, performances, and folk dance shows from several Arab countries. Visitors of all ages can immerse themselves in this cultural celebration experience.

Art exhibitions will open the festival. These include the Qatari Fine Art Exhibition, the Arab Cup Stamp Exhibition, the History of the Oud Exhibition, and the “Colours of Qatari Hospitality” Exhibition. Each display offers a window into Arab heritage and creative innovation. Furthermore, interactive workshops and drawing competitions will allow children to explore the traditions of the participating nations.

Musical performances are a highlight of the programme. Al-Jahra Folk Arts Troupe, Kuwait’s Nasser Bu Awad Troupe, and five other folk dance groups will perform traditional pieces. Qatari Ardha will also be presented, adding a local touch. Omani artist Mariam Al-Munji will perform at Al-Hikma Square, and the Algerian Orchestra will close the festival with a grand concert on December 18. Additionally, audiences can enjoy a spectacular military musical display along the Katara Corniche.

The Arab Opera Festival will take place at the Katara Opera House from December 8 to 10. Meanwhile, Wisdom Square will screen live tournament matches, and Creativity Square will host events celebrating World Arabic Language Day on December 17. Drama enthusiasts can attend the play King of the Stage, while the Outdoor Theatre offers puppet shows and storytelling performances.

Consequently, Katara’s programme blends arts, culture, and sport to engage visitors of all backgrounds. Thousands of spectators will experience an immersive environment that celebrates Arab identity and unity. The combination of music, exhibitions, performances, and workshops ensures every participant enjoys a remarkable cultural celebration experience.
