A groundbreaking exhibition by Italian artist Quayola will open at M7 in Doha on Tuesday, May 6. Titled “New Landscape”, the show explores how machines reinterpret nature using advanced technology.
New Landscape by Quayola is not a typical nature exhibit. The artist uses 3D scanners, ultra-HD cameras, and LIDAR technology to reimagine landscapes. These tools capture nature in high detail, creating digital artworks that blend tradition and innovation.
Italian Ambassador to Qatar Paolo Toschi said the exhibition highlights shared cultural values between Italy and Qatar. He noted that both countries view landscapes as central to their artistic heritage.
Curator Claudio Composti explained that the exhibit invites viewers to see nature through a machine’s eye. The machine becomes a co-creator, revealing parts of nature invisible to the human eye. This approach adds a new visual language to landscape art.
New Landscape by Quayola challenges how we perceive and represent nature in today’s digital world. The artist blends classical ideas with futuristic tools.
This unique showcase offers a new way to experience art. It invites both art lovers and tech enthusiasts to explore how machines can express natural beauty.
The exhibition is expected to draw interest from local artists, digital creatives, and the wider public. It opens Tuesday at M7 in Doha, with New Landscape by Quayola on display until July 19.
