Iraqi Ports Export Over 79,000 Tons of National Products in January 2025

The General Company for Iraqi Ports announced on Saturday that it exported 3,474 containers. These containers totaled 79,992 tons of national products during January 2025.

Farhan Al-Fartousi, the company’s Director General, shared that these exports were made following the guidance of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi. The guidance aimed to improve the loading and unloading process and accelerate the movement of goods.

The exported materials included a wide range of products. These products were dates, paper waste, aluminum waste, oil derivatives, soybeans, and vegetable oils.

Al-Fartousi emphasized that these diverse exports highlight the growing role of Iraqi ports in supporting the national economy. He underscored the importance of continuing this momentum to boost trade and support local industries.
