Iraq Pushes for Fresh Nuclear Talks as Tensions Grow

Iraq urged new diplomatic engagement with Iran as global powers reassess regional risks. The call came during a major gathering in Ashgabat. In the introduction, Iraq stressed that regional stability matters, a message repeated throughout the event to highlight rising concerns across the Middle East.

Iraq’s president said renewed dialogue is necessary to address long-standing disputes over Iran’s nuclear program. He noted that clear communication can ease regional pressure and support fair understandings that benefit ordinary people. He emphasized that Iran deserves the chance to secure a dignified life for its citizens through balanced international agreements.

Iraq also highlighted its changing role on the global stage. The president explained that Iraq moved past years of isolation and now engages actively with international and UN platforms. He said this shift strengthened Iraq’s influence in political, economic, and development fields. Moreover, he added that Iraq plans to expand its diplomatic presence because regional stability matters and stronger cooperation helps prevent wider crises.

He then turned to regional conflicts. He urged global actors to restore security across the Middle East and called for an immediate end to Israel’s strikes in Syria and Lebanon. He warned that unchecked escalation could draw the region into a broader conflict. He insisted that peace requires firm action, steady diplomacy, and unified pressure to protect civilians.

He also reaffirmed Iraq’s long-standing position on the Palestinian issue. He said lasting peace requires a just solution based on international resolutions. He stressed that an independent Palestinian state remains essential for long-term security. Furthermore, he said global powers must invest in genuine political solutions instead of short-term measures that deepen instability.

The president called on the international community to act with urgency. He said coordinated diplomacy can prevent new crises and limit dangerous miscalculations. He explained that Iraq supports peace efforts because the region cannot afford more conflict. He repeated that regional stability matters, especially as global tensions rise and local communities wait for real progress.

He concluded by urging all nations to recognize the value of sustained dialogue. He said trust grows when countries engage honestly and respect shared goals. He affirmed that Iraq stands ready to support any effort that reduces tensions and creates a safer future for the entire region.
